On February 28, 2014, several hours after coming off of a shift that included four emergency responses, Firefighter Steven Joseph Knaus, 47, was discovered in his vehicle located in the driveway of his home and in cardiac arrest. Steven Joseph Knaus was treated and transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injury.
