USFA LODD - Tennessee Firefighter Fatality Notification 03.01.2014















On March 1, 2014 at 0145hrs, Firefighter Jerry Campbell, 61, while at a work center and preparing to deploy to a wildland fire incident in the Cherokee National Forest, Tennessee, fell ill from an apparent heart attack. According to reports, Jerry Campbell's condition suddenly deteriorated and he passed away from his injury while being prepared for air transport to the hospital.
  
Our condolences to the Campbell Family & Friends, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry and to all affected by Firefighter Jerry Campbell's passing.
