USFA LODD: South Carolina Firefighter On-Duty Death Notification 02.15.2015












On February 15, 2015 at 2100hrs, Kenneth M. Stanton, 52, was directing traffic at the scene of a previous vehicle accident when an approaching vehicle drove around emergency equipment and struck him. Firefighter Stanton was immediately treated at the scene and then transported to the hospital where he passed away from injuries sustained. The driver of the vehicle who struck Kenneth M. Stanton is being charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in death and leaving the scene of an accident.
  
Our condolences to the Stanton Family & Friends, the Sandy Springs Fire Department, and to all affected by Firefighter Kenneth M. Stanton’s passing.
