U.S. Fire Administration - Two On-Duty Deaths 08.21.2012



















The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Captain Roulos Davis, 49, of the Chattanooga Fire Department on August 20, 2012.

Captain Davis fell ill shortly after reporting to work at Station 14 in St. Elmo. Despite efforts by his fellow firefighters to revive him with CPR, Captain Davis died shortly after arriving at the hospital. The nature and cause of the fatal illness has yet to be determined.

Our condolences to the  Roulos Family & Friends, the Chattanooga Fire Department , and to all affected by Captain Roulos' passing.

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Inmate Firefighter Jimmy Randolph, 44, California Department of Corrections on August 19, 2012.

Inmate Firefighter Randolph passed away at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs, California from a cause still to be determined. Within 24 hours prior to becoming ill, Randolph had been assigned to the Buck Fire in Hemet, California.

Our condolences to the Randolph Family & Friends, the California Department of Corrections, and to all affected by  Firefighter Jimmy Randolph's passing.
