Captain Bailey, 50, a 18-year veteran of the LA County FD, on April 3, 2012, suffered a fatal medical emergency while engaged in physical fitness activities at Los Angeles County Fire Department Camp 14 in Santa Clarita.
California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued the following statement, "Anne and I send our condolences to David’s wife, Lisa, and the family members, friends and fellow firefighters coping with this tragic loss. As a veteran firefighter, David made his community and our state a safer place and we are grateful for his service."
