Pennsylvania On-Duty Death
Lieutenant Robert Neary & Firefighter Daniel Sweeney
Lieutenant Robert Neary, 60, and Firefighter Daniel Sweeney, 25, both from Ladder 10 of the Philadelphia Fire Department, Pennsylvania, on April 9, 2012 at 0315hrs, were battling a multi-alarm fire with exposures. While operating inside of one of the exposure structures, a wall collapsed, killing both of them and injuring several other firefighters. Investigation into the incident continues by local and state authorities.
Our condolences to the Neary Family and the Sweeney Family, Friends of both firefighters, the Philadelphia Fire Department, and to all affected by both Lieutenant Robert Neary's and Firefighter Daniel Sweeney's passing.

Tennessee On-Duty Death - Fire Chief Kenny Fox
Fire Chief Kenny Fox, 39, of the Decatur County Volunteer Fire Department Station 3, on April 7, 2012 at 0424hrs, died from injuries sustained when the roof of a burning bar and grill collapsed on him. Two other firefighters on the interior attack team were injured but according to reports were pushed outside of the structure by Chief Fox just before the collapse. They were both transported to the hospital and treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries. Investigation into the cause of the fire and fatality continues by local and state authorities.

Wisconsin On-Duty Death - Captain John "Jack" Colbert
Fire Captain John "Jack" Colbert, 60, of the Birchwood Fire Department, Wisconsin, on April 6, 2012 at 1215hrs, responded to the station for a drowning incident. Upon arrival, he worked communications at the station until he fell ill and left for home where he passed away from a heart attack.
Our condolences to the Colbert Family & Friends, the Birchwood Fire Department, and to all affected by Captain Colbert's passing.
