On November 11, 2014 at 1230hrs, several hours after responding to a medical call, Fire Marshal Samir P. Ashmar, 51, was found in cardiac arrest at his residence. Samir P. "Sam" Ashmar was treated and transported by fellow responders to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he succumbed to his injury.
Our condolences to the Ashmar Family & Friends, the Upper Macungie Township Station 56, Inc., and to all affected by Fire Marshal Samir P. "Sam" Ashmar's passing.
