USFA LODD: Connecticut Firefighter On-Duty Death Notification 01.19.2020

On Sunday, January 19, 2020, Fire Marshal Timothy P. Smith, 59, was returning home after responding to a house fire in Orange, CT.  His vehicle left the road and hit a tree.  Fire Marshal Smith died instantly from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

USFA LODD – Pennsylvania Fire Marshal On-Duty Death 11.20.14

On November 11, 2014 at 1230hrs, several hours after responding to a medical call, Fire Marshal Samir P. Ashmar, 51, was found in cardiac arrest at his residence. Samir P. "Sam" Ashmar was treated and transported by fellow responders to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he succumbed to his injury.

Texas Firefighter/Fire Marshal On-Duty Death

Firefighter/Fire Marshal Matt Waller, 47, of the Memphis Fire Department, Memphis, Texas on February 25, 2012, at 13:30 hrs., passed away from a stroke he suffered while on-duty at the fire station.

Matt has worked for the Memphis Fire Department, for 29 years and has been the Fire Marshal for the Memphis, Texas the last 15 years.
