USFA LODD: New York Firefighter On-Duty Death Notification 11.28.2017

On November 28, 2017 at 1611hrs, Firefighter/Safety Officer Robert A. Fitch, 60, responded with his fire department to a technical rescue call for a person who became stuck on some cliffs while attempting to rescue their pet. After the call, Firefighter Fitch returned home and during the night succumbed in his sleep to a cardiac related injury.

Our condolences to the Fitch Family & Friends, East Herkimer Department, and to all affected by Firefighter/Safety Officer Robert A. Fitch’s passing.
