Working Fire: Chenango Bridge, N.Y. – Firefighters Fight House Fire 11.07.2016



(Chenango Bridge, New York) A house fire broke out at 23 Newman Ave in Chenango Bridge, in Broome County,  N.Y. just after 5 p.m. Monday evening.

The house fire is reported to have started in the front, left corner of the home in the living room. Firefighters responded from multiple fire departments. A woman and her two dogs escaped the evening house fire making it safely out of the house. The Chenango Ambulance was requested to the scene for elderly occupant with smoke inhalation and also to standby on the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital.
















"We were toned out for a possible house fire with entrapment. Law enforcement on the scene confirmed the house fire. The one occupant inside the house got out of the house and was treated by Chenango Ambulance for possible smoke inhalation and transported to the hospital," said Michael Norton, Chenango Bridge Assistant Fire Chief.


The fire caused significant damage to the residence.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
