USFA LODD: Connecticut Chief Driver On-Duty Death Notification 02.07.2016

On February 7, 2016 at 1112hrs, Chief Driver James J. Butler Jr, 50, upon returning to the fire house from responding to a fire alarm activation with his fire company, Chief Driver Butler complained to fellow firefighters that he did not feel well. While at his residence several hours later, James J. Butler, Jr. succumbed to a nature and cause of illness still to be determined.
  
Our condolences to the Butler Family & Friends, Derby Fire Department - Paugassett Hook & Ladder Company #4 and to all affected by Chief Driver James J. Butler Jr’s passing.
