USFA LODD: Ohio Fire Lieutenant On-Duty Death Notification 06.05.2015












Fire Lieutenant David Knapke, 55, suffered a sudden cardiac event and collapsed while operating at the scene of a mutual aid structure fire in Mt. Orab, Ohio, on May 30. Lieutenant  Knapke was resuscitated at the scene of the fire and flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. Subsequently, due to test results and in accordance with his end of life care plan, Lieutenant Knapke was moved to the Hospice of Cincinnati where he succumbed to his injury on June 5th. 
      
Our condolences to the Knapke Family & Friends, Williamsburg Township Emergency Services, and to all affected by Fire Lieutenant David Knapke’s passing.
