On July 23, 2018 at approximately 0200hrs, Firefighter Nathan Flynn responded with Howard County Fire and Rescue crews to a residential fire that began after a reported possible lightning strike. When crews arrived, heavy smoke was visible and firefighters began an interior attack on the home. While inside, Firefighter Flynn fell through the floor and a Mayday was called.
