Bedford Fire Department Loses 26-Year Veteran 04.11.2013
On April 11, 2013, several hours after working a very active shift at the fire department that included a number of emergency calls, Lieutenant James B. Clark, 56, a 26-year veteran with the Bedford Fire Department, was found, was found around 7 p.m., deceased at his residence from a cause still to be determined. Lieutenant Clark left work for the day roughly 12 hours earlier.
Bedford Fire Chief Scott Wiggin stated, "Basically, at this time, it's an untimely death. There's been no ruling on it at this point, and an investigation is being done as we speak. It doesn't appear that this was anything of a suspicious nature."
Fire Chief Scott Wiggin also said, "He was a good guy, and he will definitely be missed."
James B. Clark is survived and leaves behind two daughters, Stephanie, 20, and Allison, 16. He's also survived by a brother, sister and mother.
Our condolences to the Clark Family & Friends, the Bedford Fire Department and to all affected by Lieutenant James B. Clark's passing.
