USFA LODD: Iowa Firefighter On-Duty Death Notification 10.20.2018

At approximately 2:40 p.m. on October. 20, 2018, Fire Chief Tom Henrich, 58, responded with Earling Fire and Rescue Department units to a combine and field fire. While on scene, Chief Henrich fell ill. CPR was administered and Chief Henrich was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy is pending to determine the official cause of death. 

  

Our condolences to the Henrich Family & Friends, Earling Fire and Rescue Department, and to all affected by Fire Chief Tom Henrich’s passing.
